Christmas time is the season to be jolly....that's why lights play a big part in brightening up our mood during this festive season.
In 2010, the Sun Plaza shopping center in Bucharest, Romania broke the world record with an astonishing 449,659 lights (the most Christmas Lights lit uptogether, ever!).
There won’t be any shortages of lights at the Guildford Christmas Lights 2011!
When you get into town, you may notice a few changes..... donkeys outside Debenhams and Newfoundland dogs pulling Christmas Sleighs around town.
To add to the Christmas spirit, Santa Claus will also be there with well known Guildford radio presenter, Peter Gordon from 96.4 The Eagle, on the Guildhall Balcony.
And there will be face painting for the kids too! These are just some of the things going on, culminating in the switching on of the lights themselves.
Looks like Christmas Eve is all ready to go here in Guildford….are you?
