Wildlife Rocks is taking place at Guildford Cathedral on 1 September from 11am until 4.30pm.
As well as music from Brian May and talks from David Shepherd and Gavin Grant, the organisers Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue are holding competitions that can be entered prior to the event by anyone in full-time education. Children and students are invited to design a wildlife garden for The Hedge Award; creatively share why they believe wildlife rocks for the WR Award, enter the Save Me Award and put the case for saving any one animal; create bird and bat boxes or even a mini beast mansion!
The winners of all the awards will present their designs and ideas to Brian May during the Wildlife Rocks event on 1 September.
Wildlife Rocks promises to be an amazing celebration of wildlife, raising awareness of the threats our native animals face and sharing ideas and methods to safeguard them and their habitats.
