Wine and chocolate lovers can take part in a tasting session with an expert from Durbanville Hills winery at Bar des Arts on Tuesday, October 28 from 8pm.
On the night people will be able to sample four different wines, a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinotage and a Bastion and each one will be paired with a specific chocolate.
They will be taught how to properly taste the wines by examining the look, smell and the flavour of each one. They will then be guided through the process of sampling the chocolate and discovering how each one works with each wine.
Durbanville Hills launched the Wine and Chocolate Experience in April, 2011 in order to expand on the tasting offerings at the cellar.
By pairing wine with a product such as chocolate, consumers are immediately engaged and more keen to share their thoughts. The pairing offers a fun and interactive way of engaging with new wine consumers.
