Harrogate Rugby Club, established in 1871, has been providing rugby in Harrogate for all ages for over 100 years. With 1000 members, the club currently has 3 Senior Men’s teams, a Ladies team, a Colts and junior teams for all age groups from under 6 to under 16. The 1st XV play in National League 2 North, are current Yorkshire Champions and are entertaining to watch with an open-style of play.
Come and watch your local rugby team in action at the smart new clubhouse on Rudding Lane. Kick-off is at 2pm during 'British Summertime' and at 3pm once the clocks go back. Tickets are only £10 per adult, £5 for concessions and free for season ticket holders & club members.
If your son or daughter loves sport Harrogate Rugby Club is fantastic. With over 500 junior players training or playing at the club 10-12 on Sunday mornings the club comes alive. With the new facilities, it’s great to be able to watch the U17s play at 1pm or the ladies at 2.30 following the junior training too. The ladies team has been developing over recent years and now plays in a league competing to win!
Following a move from Claro Road, Harrogate Rugby Club moved to its new home at Rudding Lane in 2015. There are approximately 28 acres at Rudding Lane, which includes 3 pitches (one of which is floodlit). The new clubhouse is the perfect place to watch rugby as the long bar has huge windows overlooking the first team pitch. Because there is so much outdoor and indoor space the new Harrogate Rugby club provides the perfect environment for families whether it’s junior rugby in Harrogate, watching the first team or watching rugby on the TV screens in the bar. The club even has its own bus stop, so it’s easy to get back home if you’ve had a pint or two.
The brand new purpose built clubhouse is all on one level and has many facilities that enable us to cater for any celebration or business meeting. It’s a family friendly venue with a great atmosphere and competitively priced too.
