This Sunday 14th you'll have the chance to discover more about medieval Harewood by taking part in a castle walk and talk. However that’s not all that will be taking place, here are so key events to look out for during ‘Autumn Glory’.
Twilight Tales, taking place on Tuesday 30th October and Thursday 1st November, little ones will hear stories, take part in craft activities to keep their little hands busy making spooky puppets and masks. Go foraging for seeds to take home and plant or cosy up for a read in the bookshop.
On Halloween itself Harewood’s Haunted Way takes place… Prepare to be scared as you embark on a candlelit ghost tour to Harewood Church. Adventure through the trees in the North to discover the legends, learn new clues and unravel the mysteries of the church. Follow your storyteller guide through dark tunnels and woods but stay close… this isn’t for the faint hearted.
Also as part of ‘Autumn Glory’ Harewood will play host to Yorkshire’s favourite art, design and contemporary craft market, brought to you by Artsmix. Later in the month, as Christmas approaches, Harewood will have a very special guest as Father Christmas comes to stay. Father Christmas by the fireside gives children the opportunity to spend time with Father Christmas and let him know what they want for the big day. Each child will receive an individual Christmas gift and a photo. Don’t forget to bring along your list!
Hopefully after that you’ll be in the Christmas spirit in time to see award-winning florist Gillian Gill share her inspiration and ideas to help you design your own festive centrepiece for your Christmas table at the Christmas Floristry Workshop.
Speaking of Christmas dinner why not join us for our Winter Solstice Dinner. Prepared by Michelin Star restaurant ‘The Box Tree’. Enjoy a mulled wine reception with canapés in the grand entrance hall before a five course meal in the gallery.
