Did you know that British Yorkshire Pudding Day is on the 7th Feb?   It is always on the first Sunday in February.  As Harrogate is in Yorkshire, we can’t go without celebrating in style!

Traditionally, Yorkshire pudding was made large, and served as a starter to help you feel fuller before the main meal.  This was especially important in the days when meat was so expensive and there was not much available.

Yorkshire Pudding was usually served with roast beef, but these days you can eat it with any roast meat or on it’s own.  Going to a Carvery is a great way of enjoying these irresistible delicacies. Harrogate has many great restaurants offering a Sunday lunch which will include the famous British Yorkshire pudding!

There are several recipes out there, here’s a Yorkshire Pudding  one for quick reference.

Don’t forget the gravy!
