Friends of Sandringham Park now have their plaque and stone placed in Sandringham Park in Wetherby.Friends of Sandringham Park have fundraised for the cost of the stone and it being set in place.
The company 'Natural Stone' who also put the horse on Wetherby Roundabout, found us the perfect stone and crafted it to fit the plaque. They have cemented in a metal pin and lowered the stone into place.
Fields in Trust status keeps the park as a park for perpetuity.
Friends of Sandringham Park first asked for Fields in Trust status in 2012 and so we have become a Queen Elizabeth the second Field in Trust Park.
Friends of Sandringham Park have also won a Green Flag Award for the park since 2011/2012 meaning it is one of the best in the country. We have also just won our fourth Green Flag Award for 2015 / 2016.
with our new adult play equipment (gym) installed last September and a super children's play area ,Sandringham Park is worth a visit this summer.
