Halloween and Bonfire Night in Harrogate
Halloween in the UK is massively popular now but it's not so long ago that my friends and I used to get our Mums to buy us Swedes (not Pumpkins!) and we would carve silly faces in them (the Swedes, not our Mums), put a candle inside and walk the streets with them wondering what to do next!
Now America has sent us Trick or Treat which is alternately titled "Give us some chocolate and money or we'll let your tyres down!"
Thankfully for us parents there are still some great Halloween events in Harrogate where we can take our kids and know they'll be safe and have loads of fun!
Check out the following on thebestofharrogate Events page:-
Henshaws Halloween Walk in Valley Gardens ,Harrogate
Pumpkin Parade at Burton Leonard Village Hall

Halloween Trail at Brimham Rocks

Guy Fawkes is still an Anti Hero in British folklore and thankfully we still celebrate the failure of the Gunpowder Plot. There are several Bonfires going on in the Harrogate area:-
Round Table Bonfire on the Stray (but they're not burning the actual table)
