Ripley Castle has been voted Yorkshire's Best Small Visitor Attraction and has an interesting castle set in beautiful grounds with wondeful shops, tearooms, a children's Play trail and ample free parking.

Lightwater Valley Theme Park is another major attraction in the area and can be found at North Stainley near Ripon The Park reopens on the 27th,28th March and from the 1st to the 18th April. There are jaw dropping big thrill rides such as Raptor Attack and Whirlwind to mini adventures for the junior thrill seekers and great shopping and places to eat.

Newby Hall and Gardens is a more sedate attraction but is a truly beautiful stately home set amidst gorgeous gardens.Have a great family day out on Snday the 4th and Monday the 5th April between 11am and 4pm when you can look for a magical bag of gold in their Woodland adventure. There is also face painting, fancy dress, drumming, dancing and much more!
