On October 19th Wetherby Weekend Festival kickstarts with the ever popular Literary Lunch at the Bridge Inn, Walshford. With speakers:
Jill Swallow - one of the first women to be ordained
Mike Pannett - Yorkshireman born & bred who has served in both the London Met and the North Yorks police
David Nobbs - prolific writer for radio and TV who’s most famous creation was Regional Iolanthe Perrin.
Popular demand brings Richard Digance and his guitar back to the Social Club with an evening of brilliant cosmic songs and chat from one of Britain's most unique entertainers.
Leeds Symphony Orchestra will be performing at St. James' Church with a programme of classical music including Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C with soloist Elizabeth Kenwood.
'The Lighthouse on the Shivering Sands' by North Country Theatre, who are renowned for creating an atmosphere via their unusual way of using set and props return to town.
Finally Simeon Wood, a flautist and multi-instrumentalist of amazing versatility. A blend of music on a range of instruments intercepted with stories and humour.
