The body, which measures the height of river levels, said they River Wharfe’s water level peaked at 2.4 metres on Tuesday lunchtime but had fallen significantly by Thursday morning.
Wetherby was in a frenzy on Wednesday when the town’s biggest free car park – The Wilderness – was forced to closed heeding flood warnings. There was also problems at the bus station with no access until late last week. Services have since resumed.
