Finally it seems help has come to North Harrow! Since the closure of Lloyds TSB (the last one on the high street) we’ve all been concerned about the future of our local area and what can be done to help all the local businesses and the people that use them. Well it seems the council has also given this some thought, and are willing to lend a helping hand.
There was a meeting held last month at the Savoy community centre, where the local business owners of accountants, estate agents, fish and chip shops etc and the council leader, Councilor Bill Stephenson and other council leaders all attended. This was the platform for all concerns to be aired and for everyone to try and suggest some ideas to really breathe life back into North Harrow.
The local council is determined to give North Harrow a boost in these tough economic times. Councilor Keith Ferry said:
“There is a huge amount of passion and expertise among traders in North Harrow. We want to harness that into an action plan that will attract more customers, improve trade and draw more business and investment to North Harrow”
The next meeting is 21st Feb, Will you be there? Come along and find out what the future plans are for your area. An action plan will be put together on this day, so get your burning questions answered and your voice heard.
