Harrow Recreation Ground is a much loved and well-used green space at the heart of the Harrow community. It has been here since 1885 and has a traditional municipal look and feel to it. Indeed, most of the original layout still exists today and the park retains some of its heritage features such as entrance gates and shelters. The park has a mix of ornamental gardens, sports, leisure and play facilities to attract a broad cross-section of users. Its location and features together make it potentially the most used park in Harrow. There is a high-tech, public WC and vastly improved basketball facilities. The Park continues to be promoted and developed. The proposed vision for the future of the park revolves around its use as a wide-ranging recreational facility for the local residents and those visiting from further away. This encompasses both formal and informal use of the park and its facilities, as well as the educational benefits of the park.\r
