“TOP PERFORMING SCHOOL” \rThe Department for Education (DfE) has identified St Gregory’s as one of the top performing schools in the country. Recently, the DfE wrote to St Gregory’s stating that “Your results show that you are amongst the 100 top performing schools based on sustained improvement in each year from 2007 to 2010.”In 2010 67% of our students achieved 5 or more A* - C grades including English and Maths at GCSE level, which is a 23 percentage point improvement in the school’s performance since 2007.\rSt Gregory’s believes that this success is due to the culture of learning that has been developed in recent years and is now embedded across the school. For instance, we have over 200 students who regularly attend Saturday revision classes and many others who attend additional classes after school during the week and during the school holidays.
