Whitmore High School is a mixed comprehensive school with an excellent record of achievement. Students are expected to achieve high standards of work and behaviour in a friendly but disciplined atmosphere. Our staff are highly qualified and dedicated to ensuring all students reach their full potential and we work closely with parents to achieve this aim.\r\r \r\rIn our latest full OFSTED inspection (May 2007) we were delighted that the inspectors graded the school as Outstanding, a grade confirmed by OFSTED in their interim assessment earlier this year. In the report inspectors commented on the “outstanding progress made by students”, our “ethos of support, care and mutual respect that helps every student feel safe and valued” and “the excellent arrangements made to support students new to the school … ensuring a smooth transition and successful start”.\r\r \r
