I had to write this review to show my disappointment.
I’ve been coming to the white rock for years. But the last couple of shows I’ve been to there has been no respect for others and management are OK with this!
There have been people high on drugs running in front of the stage during the whole show (and no I’m not taking about the special needs group who are fun); there are people being allowed in wasted and late and absolute idiots shouting out during ballads! Is this really acceptable? Are management really allowing this to happen?
There are people who have paid good money for a night out trying to watch shows that CAN tolerate their alcohol and come for a good time. Why allow the idiots in late only to piss off others??

Myself and friends visited the White Rock theatre in September 2018 to see my relation performing in the Hello Again tribute to Neil Diamond, which is brilliant by the way, and found the theatre seating a bit strange. Side seats had a very strange view of the stage so I recommend not to book these if possible. Overall the theatre needs a lot of attention to the decor which is very tired and in need of a little tlc.

I used to go to the White Rock Theatre quite alot when I was a kid Back in the 90s

Watching Christmas Pantos and The Chuckle Brothers.

I did go and see Kevin Bloody Wilson a few years back and I loved it

Visited her to watch a concert and everything was great apart from the heat. It was a hot day, I know, however in the bar upstairs it was so hot and strangely the windows were all shut. There was a fan behind the bar for the staff working there but nothing for the paying visitors. The auditorium was not as bad but by the end of the evening was still really hot. Staff, as is normally the case with places like this, were really helpful and friendly.

Sat 14 July for Tom's Homecoming gig. Excellent Venue. Well positioned opposite Pier. Staff and Security friendly and helpful. Very well run. Theatre is well laid out and all seats have good views. Of course Tom Chaplin was outstanding as usual. What a voice!

Virtually wherever you sit, you get a good view as it’s a nice small theatre with ambiance. We’ve seem musicians, bands, plays, comedians here, all good.

Staff are always polite and efficient, the only downside is the walk up the hill after to the car park and the queue to the ladies toilet!

Saw Tim Vine, was hilarious, in this quaint little theatre which was clean comfortable and great viewing. So the bar was never too busy and the pre ordered drinks were ready at the interval with no hassle and still cold.
If you in town make a point of visiting

Sat in the front row for king of the one liners, Tim Vine.
Great theatre. Staff were helpful and we had a fantastic time.

Really can't wait to visit again. Lots of music, comedy and talks.
Thanks for a lovely time.

What a lovely thearter great viewing my first time to the white rock.
But it's the staff who make it, so helpful and friendly. I was taken back by the kindness from the staff especially a lovely lady called Jan!! Who helped us with our tickets, which I must add was my error as i got the wrong bloody day !! Then another staff member came n found us to take us to some spare seats. this really made our night, which we had been looking forward to for months. I would defiantly choose this venue again.

Thank you 😊

The best FM tribute band. What a great theatre. Recommend the circle seats as close to the stage. Sadly restaurant now closed but nevertheless great place

We love a bit of theatre and anything musical is right up our street. The two stars of the show were very talented, both being great singers and musicians, and they were very personable too.
Must admit I knew all of the Carole King songs and only a couple of JT’s!
The White Rock is a fabulous venue, personally I think the best seats are the raised stalls and we always try and get seats in this area. It’s big enough to feel that you are at an event, and small enough for an intimate style evening out. And the views from the first floor restaurant are beautiful, looking out at the pier and the sea.
Always makes me feel glad I live where I live.

This was a lovely birthday treat from my wife. A hotel for the night and then a show and dining experience. We saw Walk Right Back - The Story of the Everly Brothers and it was fantastic. I don't listen to this era of music by choice but thoroughly enjoyed singing along to all the hits and hearing their story at the same time. The pre-show dining was great. I have never had food that stayed hot right to the last mouthful and be tasty too so was pleasantly surprised at the scampi and chips, cooked to perfection. The whole experience, from entering the building to eating and then enjoying the show, all right opposite the pier was a great evening. The only small downside was the rush to pay for the meal with a card machine out of order causing last minute panic, but ended well and a good night was had by all.

So booked tickets for the tribute band ‘Think Floyd’ who I have to say were brilliant.
Theatre is a good venue and the staff are very friendly, but have to say that the price of drinks in the bar are very expensive. Better of going next door to White Rock Hotel Bar.

The theatre is opposite the pier so easy to find. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Downside was eating at the restaurant prior to our gig. Very long wait exacerbated by "our order" being served to a different table who had only arrived 5-10 mins before the food appeared. Never had that experience before, I suppose unusual for 2 orders to be identical There seemed to be a lack of communication/organisation between the kitchen and the waiting team. If I'd not chased the food (after seeing it given to other diners) we might still be waiting! When it arrived, it wasn't the best.

We didn't let this ruin our night thought. The gig was fabulous

Went here to see the one man Suggs show and found the staff to be friendly and professional but the seats just had no leg room at all which made it all quite uncomfortable

The tickets were extremely expensive and as dear as a west end show

At first glance the room looks good and has a dance floor, stage and bar. The room is quite spacious, although space on seating. Sadly on entering the room the dance floor was sticky and you could feel yourself sticking to the floor. The bar charged theatre prices and a round of 4 drinks cost £29.00 made it a very expensive night.

Arrived at the theatre we had no tickets the show the Mersey Beats, Stevie Ellis ,Jerry and the Pacemakers,it was a sellout.
The theatre staff were professional and friendly and suggested we wait to see if there were returns, they were lovely people even if we had not managed to procure a seat but we did thanks to their suggestion of waiting. We saw an excellent show one of the best and a big thank you to the Ladies and manager at the theatre .5 🌟.

Picked up some tickets on Wowcher, which made a show we wanted to see even cheaper. Glad we waited.

Seats were comfortable enough and had lots of leg room. Staff serving at the bar friendly, although drinks a little overpriced.

Will definitely return for a show I fancy at the right price.

A fantastic "local theatre" which punches significantly above it's weight. Great facilities and friendly staff with an outstanding range of performances.
