Looking for that opportunity to give something back into the Hastings community, here at thebestof, we have teamed up with our member the White Rock Theatre to give away tickets for some of the great shows that are delivered right here on your doorstep!

Usually, being selected at random results in a happy winner and no more so than last week, when we were offering a family ticket for the show, Mister Maker. Now I must confess, I'd never heard of Mister Maker before the competition although subsequently learned that my 4 year old grand-daughter loves the TV show! 

Our winner last week was a Jake Davis - the usual emails were exchanged beforehand about where to collect their winning tickets etc. and after the show if we received a review for the theatre, that would usually be the extent of the feedback.

But back to last week... we had a super email from Mum, Becky who wrote telling us that her disabled son, Jake had had the best time at the Mister Maker show - it gave him a boost and made him feel good... We like 'feel good' factors! 

And this is what Jake said, 

"I had a wonderful time at Mister Maker Live show .. I won family tickets on Best Of Hastings website and was so happy to be able to take my friends. I had a great spot for my wheelchair and the staff who work there are always so lovely! I sang along to all the music and laughed at all the funny bits. I had the biggest smile on my face throughout the show. The White Rock Theatre is one of my favourite places to go and the shows are always so exciting! I like having a cup of tea in the cafe too. I'm looking forward to going again soon! Thank you to 'The Best Of Hastings' & 'The White Rock' for a wonderful time!"

And they sent in some pics, which we've added here also. 

So, I don't know about you but Jake's story made me feel good too - it's nice when you can make a difference to someone's day.
