Enjoy the classic musical Oliver at the White rock theatre this Saturday. With beautiful costumes and sets, The Summer Youth Project present a show full of energy; and sing such timeless songs as Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself and You Got To Pick-A-Pocket Or Two at the top of their lungs.
I was delighted to be invited to watch the show and was impressed by how clearly this young cast delivered their lines. The actor playing the charismatic Fagin stood out the most for me. He was exceptionally funny and witty in the way he interacted with the audience.
However, I can’t forget to mention the actress who played Nancy, with her long flowing blonde hair and cockney accent, she sung As Long As He Needs Me with such emotion, that it had the audience transfixed in that moment.
Overall, a strong cast and a very enjoyable evening, I encourage all to go see this musical on Saturday!
