I thoroughly enjoyed this year’s panto, Sleeping Beauty at the White Rock Theatre in Hastings. There was great audience participation throughout, with a man from the stalls being chosen to become the Dame’s (Time McArthur) new love interest. The actor that played the evil Carabosse was a super choice, having both charisma and charm.
Ben Watson is back as our favourite Buttons, with the Dame and him making for a brilliant comedy double, adlibbing some humorous moments that had the audience in fits of laughter. Honey G appears throughout as Fairy G in a bright, gold outfit and sunglasses, saying the catchphrase “When I say Fairy, you say G!”
Overall, a strong cast, full of energy, kept the narrative up beat and moving. It is definitely worth a watch and will have you feeling Christmassy in no time, an 8/10 from me!
