A seaside theatre that has a mixture of panto, tribute acts, kids shows & local events such as fund raisers. While great stars have appeared here in the past this is no longer the case & this venue is in steady decline. While most of the seating is fairly comfortable, some in the circle have insufficient legroom. The view of the stage is very good from all areas. The bar has not enough seating or staff & the drinks are served in plastic.

This is a quaint cosy little theatre which has a variety of events. From panto, tribute acts, craft fairs and live acts. We went to this theatre on two consecutive evenings. The first night was a Tribute to QUEEN what a great show. The second night it was ELKIE BROOKS live an excellent show. She sang her heart out in both halves of the show. I hope I have as much stamina when I reach her age she will be 70 next February but you wouldn't think that and her voice is still amazing. Our tickets were very reasonable too as we signed up to be a friend of the theatre. This gives you money off when you order your tickets, you also save on the booking fee. We are going again to see Aladdin on Boxing Day . You can order drinks for the interval if you wish. There is also icecream, crisps chocolate nuts and crisps and if you wish you can book to eat in the resturant before the show all in all terrific value for money.

Visited here for an afternoon performance of Carousel. The building is architecturally impressive on the outside but sadly the inside doesn't match due to what looks like modernisation. The performance was held in aid of a charitable cause and was very enjoyable. The sound technician does, however, need to address issues of balancing music and speech from the radio mikes as some of it couldnt be head by memebers of the party who had hearing issues. That aside, we all enjoyed it and would go again.

Well went along for the family treat, unfortunately Aladdin is one of my least favourite pantos and I am not a fan of Louie Spence. So why have I given it a 5, because it was a fantastic panto, the boy and girl playing the lead roles are very talented, and the whole show was very good.
The seats however still kill my back, I am sure these seats are now about 30 years old! Hopefully they will change them soon?
But the Panto is fab and worth well seeing, so hence the 5 stars!
Well done to the theatre for putting on a fantastic pants, please try and improve the seats.

The staff are lovely , welcoming and helpful.
If you get membership you get brilliant deals and the pre theatre dining makes for an all round lovelyevening out. Compared to Eastbourne it is worth the extra mileage for the deals and friendly atmosphere. Well done Hastings !

Booked here for a kids matinee today, everyone from the guy on the phone, box office staff and the ushers and concession staff were lovely, a rarity these days and very much appreciated. The theatre itself is is a good size but not too big, with great views even from the back row downstairs. Booster seats available for little kids. My only gripe is the £1 booking fee per ticket, but otherwise a great theatre.

I attended a Saturday matinee and the house was almost sold out. Very disappointed that neither of the bars was open, only the cafe which does serve alcohol but the queue was around the lounge area.
I did query this with a lady manager who didn't even have the manners to stop and talk to me, although she did inform me as she walked away that they would be open for the evenings performance. Great!
The show was good and all other staff excellent, just a shame that you have to go to the hotel next door to get a drink. But well done to the hotel.

A group of us went on 27 March to see Blood Brothers. The cast were absolutely amazing and the storyline a roller coaster of emotions. We had front row tickets, so had plenty of leg room. the reason I have marked it down is because of the facilities. There is obviously a rush for the toilets at the interval, with the longest queue for the ladies. The queue I was in was about 10 to 15 ladies, while the adjacent gents had no queue and at times was empty (as I was leaving some ladies did use the gents). Please White Rock management, make it so the gents downstairs is for ladies at such events. Just saying!

We went to see blood brothers fantastic absolutely brilliant as always. Was bit dissapointed with the cafe/ restaurant, server was bit rude and we waited ages to be served. When we got there waiter said could we go and order at the bar as he was about to get very busy. then he changed his mind and said he would take our order, then he didn't then finally he did. At this point we were the only ones in there, there were 3 of us. Not really a
coach load,as we were eating it started to fill and we couldn't get any service after that. Surly they know they are going to be busy put on More staff just for that hour it's not difficult. This would have been better if we could have had better service for our meal before seeing the show especially as the theatre boasts the restaurant/cafe and encourages people to come eat before the show. If we go back don't think we'll be eating there as there are plenty of places near to eat.overall lots of room for improvement. Blood brothers well worth the journey for the show not for the cafe.

First saw Blood Brothers when it first was in London many moons ago...When Barbara Dickson was Mrs Johnston. Second time round when it came to The White Rock Theatre... It was good then. But my word was it good this time. Absolutely fantastic.. All the original cast as was in London this time round. Marti Pellow and Maureen Nolan. Tickets were going very quickly for every day it was showing.. Thankfully we got fabulous seats as always.... Always looking out for what's on next......
