went with a group of 10 people this week to a very busy theatre on a monday night. I didn't make the booking but noticed that we were split up over two rows for some reason. Acoustics were good but the thing that bugged me was during the interval I went to buy refreshments but could only pay in csh - no card facilities. Its 2015 guys and you need to get it together more - VERY typical of Hastings- so behind.

As our hotel was next door we went twice during our stay, seeing Showaddywaddy and a Carpenters Tribute Act. Both good shows.

This is a restored Art Deco theatre, built as a music hall but now showing music shows of all descriptions...original acts, tribute shows, opera...you name it. It's not huge so you get good views from most seats. It has a bar and a restaurant. Each show seems to cost around £20 per person, which is not bad.

Check what's on...you'll be surprised.

We went to see Buddy, the Buddy Holly musical. We had seen it in the west end of London and it was always good and this touring one was just as good. We sat in the front circle, but have sat in the front row in the stalls before and you have a good view of the stage whever you sit. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We have never been disappointed when we have seen a show here and we have been go I'm going since the 1980's. Just recently we have seen Joseph and Caranby Street. There are ample toilet facilities and a lift to every floor a nice bar and big restaurant overlooking the sea. Its very reasonably priced. Great theatre.

We have been to the White Rock a few times over the years and overall it has changed very little. On this occasion we saw Slade and it was a fairly packed house. The gig took me back to the 70's so a great time to reminisce. The auditorium is not too large so you get a good view from most areas. I'm not sure if the stalls area has removable seating but as most of the audience got out of their seats this area would have been better suited to a standing concert. The upstairs bar seemed a bit chaotic and drinks prices were the usual high price expected at a theatre.
Toilet facilities could be vastly improved and certainly more facilities for the ladies.
Overall a great gig reminding me of those halcyon days!! Rock on!

been here many times over the years and never been disappointed. friendly staff and all been helpful. all shows we have seen have been good and well worth the ticket price. good food served here as well, and again at a good price. best to book up in advance though as it gets busy. well worth a visit.

We find the White Rock a lot cheaper than London prices and the staff are always polite and helpful. You can see quite well from most viewpoints in the theatre. We loved the panto this year and look forward to more great productions in the future...

I attended the theatre for a talk on serial killers, given by an ex-murder squad detective. The talk was very interesting, although I would have preferred it if he had confined his remarks to the subject at hand and not used the occasion as a hobbyhorse to promote capital punishment.
We had drinks in the bar beforehand and it is a very attractive area.

We visit the theatre regularly and have always enjoyed the shows.
More recently we have had a super meal in the restaurant before the performance.
Excellent food, friendly staff and lovely surroundings.
A very good way tp start the evening.

Add it to your To Do list. High quality competitors, mesmerising playing. We do agree, however, about the snack bar... hardly had time to eat as it took so long to get the food. Pity,as the rest of the experience was great.

This Theatre has been here for many years and is constantly being refurbished but always looks the same when finished!

For some reason there is a booking fee for all tickets even if you book and pay at the box office and Pay cash - something even the Top West End Theatres stopped doing a long time ago

The seats are okay but leg room can be a problem - and I'm not too tall myself!

Staff are ok although some can be brash and some ushers rather noisy and chatty during performances - something which would be a complete no no in other Theatres

The cost of some performances matches the west end theatres for shows such as copy bands and this can be a turn off

Parking is on the street or in a small underground car park

Needs some more atmosphere in the building and a splash of colour
