Christmas – the season to be merry, indulge in a massive roast dinner, chocolate selection boxes and copious amounts of Stilton and crackets, to socialise with friends and family and exchange gifts with love ones.
All of which amount to a huge amount of waste! Those toys the kids are engrossed in all come in massive amounts of packaging, the bottles of Baileys and wine are stacking up in the glass recycling box, the selection boxes are empty and stuffed in the card and paper box, and the Christmas turkey is now just a faded memory at the bottom of a bin bag with the used paper napkins.
With all of this waste and recycling, the last thing you want is to realise that you've missed the bin collections – so here at thebestof Haverhill, we thought we'd better remind you about a few changes to the wheeled bin collection schedule over the Christmas holidays.
According to St Edmundsbury Borough Council, the changes to Haverhill bin collections are as follows:
