Nearby village Kedington will be host to this year’s Open Gardens event, where 18 different gardens will be on display to the public to admire.

The gardens will be open from midday to 6pm on Sunday 10th July, including Kedington Primary School, whose garden has proved to be extremely popular in the recent years.

The gardens vary in size and style, from small cottages to up to an acre in various different locations. Ploughmans lunches will be served at Orchard House, where there will also be a bar licence until 6pm so everyone can have a drink at their leisure.

If you prefer, cream teas are also one offer at the parish church - where you can view the untamed beauty of the wild flowers and see the Barnadiston monuments.

The event is being organised to help Kedington’s Church Restoration Committee reach the £50,000 target it needs in order to obtain match funding from English Heritage.

Admission is by programme priced at £3 which is available at Kedington Newsagents and Nisa Stores both in the lead up to the event and on the day.
