An inaugural motor show will take place on the Market Place in Haverhill on Saturday 12th July 2014
The event has been organised by St Edmundsbury Borough Council to coincide with Sunday’s vehicle rally, organised by its partners at the town council.
The motor show will include a mix of vintage vehicles, fast cars, and some of the latest models from Drive Vauxhall.
There will also be a chance to see a ‘Blues Brothers’ car, the council’s new road sweeper, and an airbrushing display, while street entertainment will include a policeman on stilts.
Cllr Alaric Pugh, St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s portfolio holder for economic growth said: “This is our first Haverhill Market Motor Show. The market is an important part of the town and we, and our traders, are keen to be involved in some of the excellent events that are taking place in the town.
“We hope that the market motor show will also become a popular regular feature among our events in Haverhill.
“There will be some eye catching vehicles on display, alongside some fun street entertainment. With all this, plus our usual busy town market, it promises to be a great day.”
There are still spaces for car enthusiasts to display their vehicles. Contact market development officer Sharon Fairweather on 01284 757093 or email Sharon.fairweather@westsuffolk.gov.uk
