HAVERHILL ROVERS 0 MILDENHALL TOWN 1
Mildenhall go on to face Soham in the next round of the F.A. Cup after a Haverhill display, that some would say merited a replay, wasn’t enough to better their opponents’ second half goal.
The hosts had two chances to go ahead in the opening period, a Michael Shinn free kick in the 21st minute saved by goalkeeper Josh Pope and Rory Jebb somehow hit the rebound over the bar from two yards out. Ryan Weaver also lobbed Pope, only for defender David Cooper to clear the ball off the goal line.
Mildenhall’s goal came in the 68th minute via substitute Michael Harvey, his shot across goal from ten yards out going in despite an attempted clearance on the line.
