Bookings are now being taken for presentations to local community groups in the Haverhill area on local crime and community sentencing.
If your community group would be interested in learning more about these issues you can book an interactive presentation free of charge from the Local Crime Community Sentence Project.
The project is a combined initiative set up by probation officers and magistrates to increase the public's knowledge and understanding of community sentences, a form of punishment served in the community under the supervision of a probation officer.
The presentation is free of charge and lasts approximately one hour. You can book the presentation for any time suitable to your group's needs and no special equipment is required.
Your group will be given the opportunity to play the role of judge for a serious crime case, with the responsibility of deciding if the offender should go to prison or be given a community sentence.
To arrange for the Local Crime Community Sentence Project to visit your Haverhill group simply email careygodfrey@gmx.co.uk or call 01473 688922.
