The YMCA make sure that they are on hand to help young people who do not have a home to go to. They provide them with a safe, warm place to stay and support them so that they can stay off the streets for good.
YMCA Youth workers are qualified professionals who are dedicated to help young people and to ensure that they feel they have a place where they belong. They help the young people to see that they do have a voice that can be heard, valued and respected.
The range of support to families is vast and includes child care services, holiday clubs, before and after school activities, family mediation and parenting programmes.
One way you can help the YMCA and support disadvantaged young people by donating directly to the YMCA Charity. Another way to help is by visiting your local YMCA shop to either donate unwanted items.
