23rd Oct 2011 Derby Mini Soccer - Under 9's Cup
Codnor Boys 11-0 Mackworth St Francis Tigers
Codnor moved into the next round of the cup with an emphatic victory. Ewan McCracken opened the scoring. Soon after Lewis Hartshorne scored his 1st competitive goal for Codnor after 3 seasons with the club. By half time it was 4-0 with goals from Bradley Pearson and Ben Richards.
With Codnor 4 up, Colby O'Hare, who was rather redundant in goal, was given a run as an outfield player. He was replaced in goal by the excellent Liam Shelton. Codnor continued to play great football in the 2nd half. Bradley Pearson was again superb and finished with 5 goals. Ewan McCracken finished with a brace and Ben Richards completed his hat-trick by tapping in the rebound after his own penalty was saved.
Another great performance from a Codnor team who continue to grow in confidence and are enjoying their football.
