15th October 2011 saw six swimmers from Heanor Swimming Club prepare to represent the club at the Warwick Challenge Cup.
This annual event pushes swimmers to compete against all ages and includes visiting teams from universities and other clubs.
The event pushes competitors to compete in different lifesaving events and test their stamina and lifesaving skills with the final event being a knockout water polo competition.
The Heanor team comprising (L to R) Charlotte Butterworth, Adam Wright, Jack Lilley, Jayne Stallion, Callum Briggs and Emma Stallion challenged hard and won silver. This is the best position the club has ever achieved in this competition.
An excellent performance continuing the club's recent successes.
