Last week we launched this year's 14 Days of Love campaign, and have been asking you all to show your love for our great local businesses this February. As an incentive, we've organised a fantastic daily prize draw with some huge prizes which we're giving away every day between now and Valentine's Day!
Today we're really pleased to announce that we've had a local winner in this national prize draw, with photographer Jason Hicking winning a once-in-a-lifetime Orient Express Experience. All Jason did to win this prize was to leave a review for Nirvana Indian Restaurant in Heanor, recommending it for its great atmosphere and choice of food.
After hearing he'd won, Jason said
"I was completely stunned, I filled in the card then promptly forgot about it - you know how it is with these national competitions, so to actually win is amazing. I've always wanted to go on the Orient Express - who knew that just by leaving a review for Nirvana I would get the chance to go. Being a professional photographer, I'm looking forward to capturing the whole experience through my lens and getting some once-in-a-lifetime shots!"
We want to say a massive thanks to you all because we've seen the reviews and testimonials come flooding in, and each and every one is being entered into the daily draws - if you don't win one day, you're automatically entered into the next day's draw, so there's still 10 more chances to win some amazing prizes, including a year's supply of cinema tickets, a champagne afternoon for 2 at the Ritz, or today's prize, which is a brilliant Sony Digital Camera.
For your chance to win just go to http://www.thebestof.co.uk/national/uk/recommend and tell us which business you love and why. It takes under 2 minutes and is totally FREE!
