The paddling pool in Heanor's Memorial Park is due to reopen this week, after being closed for several months.
Amber Valley Borough Council had to close the pool over the winter as the tiles became damaged due to the severe cold and frosts over last winter, but after further delays, the popular pool will now reopen, just in time to catch this week's hot sunny weather.
The pool, which was due to reopen in May, has now been refurbished and is ready to welcome little feet trying to cool down as the temperature soars back into the 30's this week.
As well as the paddling pool, the park also boasts swings and a playground to keep the children entertained, as well the beautiful gardens and a brand new kiosk serving ice cold drinks and ice creams, as well as teas and coffees for the grown-ups.
The paddling pool can be found behind William Gregg VC Leisure Centre, on Hands Road in Heanor.
