I would like to thank all those local residents and near by organisations who came to the public consultation yesterday to learn more about this worthy project and find out how they could get involved. The offers of help to join the veterans to renovate both the cafe and the two houses are great and shows the strong community spirit we have in Heanor, for that I thank you.
Also those organisations and groups who came along wanting to become involved are critical to make this local project a success, and Gamelea CTT is exited about collaborating for the benefit of the veterans who will be coming to Heanor over the months and years.
As Local Member for Greater Heanor, and an Army veteran myself, I am proud and honoured that Heanor and Amber Valley organistations have taken this project to heart.
Thank You.
Kevin Parkinson
