Help for New Retail Businesses Starting up in Ripley
19th October 2012

From 22nd October, Amber Valley Borough Council will be offering free start up business advice for anyone looking to start a retail business in our local town.

The scheme offers one to one business support on a range of essentials, including business plans, marketing, legal, licensing and specialist retail advice.

The independent specialist business advisors, will also be able to offer help with finding the right premises and approaching banks for loans and financial assistance.

But what about our other local towns?

Whilst this scheme is primarily focussing on the Ripley area, the Council is also inviting people looking to start a retail business anywhere else in Amber Valley to get in touch.

Councillor Liz Bowley, Cabinet Member for Developing Places to Live and Work said:

"The scheme is part of a number of measures being introduced as part of the Ripley Masterplan which has a range of objectives aimed at boosting the local economy. We hope that people, who may have been confused about where to start, will pick up the phone and take advantage of the free guidance and support needed to start a retail business."
