The people of Heanor and Ripley have a new chance to add their voice to an important issue, which could affect any of us at any time.
The government has launched a consultation on stalking - how to prevent it and how to protect victims of stalking more effectively, and they want to hear from us.
They are seeking the views of interested parties, including members of the public as well as the police and other public service professionals, on wether the current arrangements are effective and whether there is something more, or different, that could or should be done.
If you want to add your views to this important issue, please have a look at the full consultation document, which can be found on the Home Office website. You can then send your responses directly by completing the online form provided.
The deadline for responses is Feb 5th 2012.
