There are lots of reasons to get the flags out at the moment, from the Jubilee to the Olympics as well as Euro 2012, the opportunities for patrioticism and getting into the red, white and blue are seemingly endless this summer.
And now there's an even better reason - decorating your house in time for the Jubilee could land you a fantastic prize, courtesy of the Heanor Traders Association.
Ooo, what's the prize?
The winner of this fun competition will be presented with a huge hamper packed full of brilliant goodies donated by member's of the Association. All you need to do to win is get out the bunting and your imagination, and deck your halls as loudly, brightly and colourfully as you can.
So how do I enter?
Just take a picture of your house and post it onto the Love Heanor facebook page (don't forget to include the name of your street so that the judges can come along and judge your entry). If you're not on facebook, feel free to send your entries to us at heanorandripley@thebestof.co.uk, including your name and address, and we'll post it up for you.
The competition is open to anyone living in Heanor, Shipley, Marlpool, Langley Mill, Aldecar or Loscoe.
Judging will take place over the Jubilee weekend and the winners will be announced both here and in the Ripley and Heanor News on 7th June
