Radio presenter Mike Read is hosting a special one-night-only fundraising evening at the Kenton Theatre, on Sunday 13 October. The proceeds from the event will benefit two Henley charities – the Kenton for Keeps Campaign and The Chiltern Centre for Disabled Children.
Yes we know it it is still only September and next week there are promises that summer will return - briefly. However we have lots of Christmas events listed already.
An extra special night of entertainment, treats and delights will be held at Bix Manor on Midsummer’s night – 21 June – to raise funds for Sue Ryder Nettlebed Hospice.
The event called 'A Summer Delight' is organised by Karen Hilton, 51, whose partner Robin Samson was cared for at the hospice before his death from cancer in July last year at the age of 54.
After an acclaimed, sell-out performance of The Creation in 2012, Henley Choral Society and Southern Sinfonia make a welcome return to the Concert Hall, Reading at 7.30pm on Saturday 8 June, to perform Verdi’s thrilling and dramatic Requiem.
