Calling all business users of free on-road parking!
THE HENLEY PARTNERSHIP WANTS TO HEAR YOUR VIEWS ON THE
OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL PARKING CONSULTATION
17 September to 31 October 2009
WHERE WILL YOU PARK IF THE PROPOSED CHANGES ARE APPROVED??!!
The Proposals are set out on the back of this sheet.
If you want to object (and this is the first time that business users have had the opportunity, so your contribution really matters!!), please write or email with your views directly to Malcolm Bowler at:
Southern Traffic Area,
Drayton,
Abingdon,
OX14 4EZ
Malcolm.Bowler@Oxfordshire.gov.uk
The Henley Partnership is also going to make a contribution and it would be helpful if you could copy to Barbara Richardson the emails you’re sending to Malcolm Bowler. Barbara’s email address is:-
Barbara.richardson@alchemy.me.uk
Let her have the answers to these questions:
If the proposals take effect,
· will you have to find somewhere else to park for nothing, further out of town?
· will you have to park closer into town and pay for on-street parking?
· will you ask your employer to pay for your additional parking costs?
· will you take the first opportunity to take another job where free parking is available close to work?
You may like to know that edge-of-town cheaper parking has been introduced as follows:-
Mill Meadows car park & Rugby Club car park offer Monday to Friday only season tickets at the following prices (inc VAT)
o Weekly (5 days) £ 10
o Monthly £ 30
o Quarterly £ 80
o Annual £250
A 10% discount is applied if more than 5 tickets are purchased at the same time.
