"Collections back to your normal calendar...
Rubbish and recycling collections:
We apologise for any inconvenience and would like to thank residents for their continued patience and understanding.
Due to the severe weather over the last few weeks we have suffered some disruptions to the catch up collections after Christmas. However, we are doing our best to get collections back on track and clear your waste and recycling as quickly as possible.
Please see information below about your collections:
This week (commencing 18 January 2010)
This week collections have gone back to your original collection calendar (apart from bulky and garden waste) so please check your calendar to find out if you're on a rubbish or recycling week.
Rubbish (grey bin) – all those on Calendar 1 will have their rubbish collected. Please also put out your recycling bin and we will do our best to collect this as well. If we don’t get round to collect your recycling please put it out next week (as per your calendar). This applies to areas such as Henley, Thame, Wallingford and Didcot (not the Ladygrove).
Recycling (green bin) – all those on Calendar 2 will have their recycling collected. We will collect any side waste recycling in clear/opaque sacks, cardboard boxes or carrier bags. This applies to areas such as Beckley, Didcot (Ladygrove area only), Goring, Sonning Common, Watlington and Wheatley.
Week commencing 25 January
Rubbish and recycling - this week all collections will follow your original collection calendar so please check your calendar to find out if you're on a rubbish or recycling week.
Extra waste – we will collect all side waste rubbish and recycling this week next to your correct bin. For those on rubbish week (grey bin) we will collect extra rubbish in black bin bags. For those on recycling week (green bin) please put extra recycling in clear/opaque sacks, carrier bags (not black bags) or cardboard boxes.
Bulky and garden waste collections will start from 25 January
Garden waste collections (brown bin) - will resume on Monday 25 January and follow your original calendar (i.e. on your recycling week).
Please put your garden waste bin out on the same day as your recycling collection (green bin). If you have extra garden waste on your next collection, please put it out next to your brown in an open bag so it is clear to the crews that it is garden waste. "
Alternative options for waste
You can take your recycling to a local collection bank, or visit your nearest waste recycling centre. See the County Council website for opening times.
