My girfriend Kate passed away yesterday(Tuesday 30th Oct 2014) having bravely fought cancer for just over a year.The care and attention she has recieved from everyone at Nettlebed has been incredible,nothing is too much trouble,no request unanswered,always there but never intrusive.I have always been made very welcome when I have been with Kate either on a short visit or during her longer stays( especially when accompianied by Birdie,Kates gorgeous black whippet who is always adored and fussed over by everyone she meets). I would like to say a special thankyou to those nurses who were present during Kates final hours,doing everything to make her as comfortable as possible and for Andrea,a very special person who spent time with me after Kates passing,listening as I talked about Kate and our time together.An incredibly traumatic and heartbreaking time made bearable by such a dedicated team of professionals.Heartfelt thanks to you all

In July 2010, five brothers cycled up 3 mountains in the Pyrenees to raise money for Sue Ryder – Nettlebed Hospice, motivated by the care their father received there. The help and care that our father and mother received during that difficult period was absolutely fantastic. My father always felt safe and comforted during his visits to Nettlebed. I’d encourage everybody to support the hospice in whatever way that they can.

Simon is a great guy, and although he takes alot of money off me every year....to fix my dodgy yellow Porsche, he does a tip top job and leaves no stone unturned. He is easy going gets the job done when he says he will, and even gives you a lift back into town to soften the blow of the huge bill slowly mounting in the workshop. No fault of his just the Germans who built it.
