A couple of weeks ago you may have seen on facebook that the bus station cafe is doing a slimming world breakfast. This got us thinking at Best of Hereford about where else you can ear in Hereford that is still healthy.
Sometimes when you are trying to stay in shape, eating out can be the hardest thing. We are spolit for choice on places to eat in Hereford but where you can go and find something healthy.
The Buttery
The buttery on Maylord Street has a variety of freshly prepared salads at really reasonable prices. The ingredients are sourced locally and everything is prepared fresh on the day. They do a variety of sandwiches and baguettes too, but the salad bar is their speciality. You get a choice of flavoursome and filling healthy options which is perfect for anyone watching their weight
Being right in the city centre it is a really convenient place to go to on your lunch break too!
The Orchard Cafe-Holmer Park Spa
For something a little more up market then go to the Orchard Cafe, at Holmer Park Spa, this is a great place for business lunches or a coffee with friends. Their menu varies depending on the weather and they pride themselves on using fresh, local produce. They also do excellent coffee.
Nutters
Nutters cafe in Capuchin Yard, Church Street, have a great reputation for serving delicious wholefood and vegetarian dishes. They have a variety of salads and vegan cakes. With its picturesque location and guilt free indulgence what is not to love about this place?
All Saints Cafe
I have been to this lovely cafe inside the church several times and it always seems to be busy and quite rightly so. Although somewhat pricey, the portions are generous and the food is delicious. Some dishes are a lot healthier than others, but on the whole you know you’ll be getting a freshly cooked plate of food that isn’t loaded with calories.
