When it comes to places to eat we are really spoilt for choice in Hereford, so I asked you where your favourite places are to eat and I have shared mine with you.
Fiona Harris said "The Crown and Anchor for something different, the taste of raj for a curry, the hummingbird garden for a chinese. The bunch of carrots for a roast and
Saxty's and gilbies for something different when in town.
Rob Mahon said the list is endless, all depends on the mood, the bus station when hungover, BBQ and brews when feeling greedy, the royal oak at Much Marcle does the best steak ever.... I could go on and on!
Lesley leonardwascurtis "gotta love the Litch, clean, friendly, good serviced and great food. Always stop for lunch when shopping in the Ford :)
Fran James-Hill "Nutters, Rocket and La Madeleine. All small independent cafés and all great"
James McDougall, "breakfast at the bus station cafe, plenty to eat and enjoyable"
Here are just a few places that I love;
Moka cafe in Church Street hands down do the best carrot cake I've ever had, rich creamy icing and a delicious soft sponge with the perfect balance of spices. It retains that lovely moisture, without having an oily texture.
For a little bit of decadence, the Castle Hotel does a lovely afternoon tea. A selection of sandwiches, fresh scones and delicious cakes with a choice of teas or coffees. It's perfect for special occasions or just as a lovely treat.
I would find it almost impossible to find a bad steak in hereford, but there are some places where they really do just melt in the mouth. Zanes and Gigi's are sister restaurants and they both have their own distinct, relaxed atmosphere. Along with fabulous cocktails, it makes for a very pleasant evening.
