We visited Goodrich Castle today as part of the English Heritage Weekend and there was lots of interesting activity for all the family including walks and talks.
We also found out all about the Overlooking the Wye project.
The scheme takes a coordinated and holistic approach to the historic environment of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It embraces nearly 50 smaller linked projects - all focusing on helping visitors and locals to understand, enjoy and become involved in the local historic environment.
These include projects covering the hidden industry, river connections, viewpoints and hillforts from Fownhope to Chepstow. The £2.8 million landscape partnership scheme which will last for 3 years - until October 2011. Look out for more information on The Best of Hereford.
