I received an email this week telling me about a new Music Festival which is being organised this August Bank Holiday weekend in Herefordshire. The RocknRoots Festival is being held at Much Marcle and is the first of what is planned to be a regular annual event.
I had a chat today with the organiser, Mike Stephens, and he was telling me about all the great acts he has lined up for the 3 day festival -
Jefferson Starship
Curved Air
Steve Cropper
Bad Company
The Animals
Marillion
Walter Trout
Cerys Matthews
The Wurzels
and many more
It promises to be a great weekend of music, with three huge music tents stalls, craft displays, exotic foods, juggling schools, wine bar and real ale and ciders by the barrel.
The venue is Rye Meadows, Much Marcle, Nr Ledbury, Herefordshire
(On the main A449 between Ross-On-Wye and Ledbury) and 4,500 people are expected to stay for the weekend with up to a further 1,000 visitors each day of the three day festival.
