The zoo is GREAT!!! Super organized. My wife and I spent 5 hours watching animals and dinosaurs. It was cold so we couldn't see all of them, but we definitely saw most of them. I really recommend it, I really recommend it

We visited Hertfordshire zoo for my birthday as my partner had purchased a 'Tickle a Tapir' experience for me. The zoo itself is quite small and a lot of the cafe's, ice-cream shops etc were shut which was not great especially as it was really warm. The animals however all looked well cared for. The Tapir experience was out of this world, they are my favourite animal!! The keeper was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. Tim and Tamara, the Tapir's were very obliging and happily lay on their sides for us to tickle and scratch them all over. It was the best birthday present ever. If you happen to like Tapir's this experience is for you, you won't regret it.

This is an amazing experience for little kids worth a visit. The zoo is divided into many sections, a section for dinosaurs, animals, soft play, golf area and they also have a baby pool. It’s best to get there as soon as the zoo opens to cover the whole area.Visited on

Had a thoroughly enjoyable few hours here during May half term. Yes it’s small, but the enclosures look well kept with huge glass windows to view the animals and the layout is an easy walk. Restaurant, shop, toilet facilities and car parking were all very good too. However the real highlight was the “world of dinosaurs” walkthrough which was full of huge noisy animatronic dinosaurs. If you have a young child mad on dinosaurs, this would be something of a dream come true! My only negative point would be having to pay an additional £2 each to ride the little train. Seems a bit mean not to include this in the price of the ticket, especially as it cost me around £50 just to get in.
