We spent a few hours walking around this compact zoo. The macaws were lovely to watch and listen to them squawk. The big cats were a joy to see, I love the white lions and snow leopards. The walkway above was great to see all the big cats. The emus were great fun, trying to peck at you to get food. The camel's were very friendly and happy to come and see us. The dinosaur world was really good, all in all a good visit. Plenty of places to eat here and also free parking.

Visited with my 4 & 6 year old kids having visited once prior on a school trip with the 6 year old. When you go with a large group it's 9.50 per head, when you go outside of this its more than twice that to get in.

Parking was easy, we didn't queue for tickets, everyone's wrist was stamped to allow re-entry which was thoughful, and meant we could go back to the car if needed.

The dinosaur area seems to take 1/3 of the park. It's in good order and my kids love it. lots of animatronic dinosaurs, plaques with good information. There's loads of play areas, the kids enjoyed digging in the sand for dinosaur bones which is thoughtfully sheltered from the sun and next to a cafe, though I felt there were not enough chairs at the cafe by the sand. There's a real old fire engine, pirate ship, loads of things to amuse kids of different ages. My kids could have stayed all day, we only dragged them away when my 4 year old was falling asleep on her feet.

Compared to London Zoo this site was less busy and we found the layout more managageable.

Now for my criticisms. We love animals, we are members of ZSL and regularly visit Whipsnade and London Zoo as well as other sites around the country and the world. We felt that the enclosures were two small , especially for the big cats but also for some of the small animals. Also it was a sunny day and there were not enough places to shelter i thought. The otters were huddled in the wire cage that connected two parts of their enclosures. A turtle was desperately trying to climb a fence to get to the water. My feeling is that this site should sacrifice some of the adjacent car park space to make the animal enclosures bigger and increase welfare standards. While overall the site has plenty to please the kids they probably liked the dinosaurs and play areas more and the wildlife less, yet this purports to be a wildlife park.

The other thing to talk about is the catering. The first time we visited we brought a packed lunch and eat it at the picnic tables near the splash pool. There are loads of places to eat your own food all round the park, good rubbish and recycling which seems to be emptied frequently, rather than festering and attracting insects. This second visit was spontaneous so we thought we'd eat on site. The catering was awful. The small cafe by the sandpit does drinks, but literally the only thing it had two eat was 3 cheese and onion sandwiches in packets. No cakes, nothing fresh. The dinobites cafe serves burgers with a slab of cold cheese added at the end, they'd run out of onions and you can forget lettuce or tomatoes. You can't buy chips or any sides with the burgers. This for £4 a burger, served by almost children. Where does the money go? The Safari Diner is the main event for food, they had a full bar (unexpected!), but the food is both awful and a bun fight, big queues, poorly managed waiting for unappealing food. Please let's have some healthier options, and no, frying a vegetable does not make it healthy.

At least they have co-located a stage to the seating area and so our kids were kept diverted watching the dinosaur show while they eat their bad food. Had I not been driving I probably would have used the bar!

All in all this is a safe easy day out for the kids, pretty much guaranteed to keep them happy and tire them out. I would definitely bring a packed lunch if we do it again. I urge them to improve the animal welfare or ditch the animals altogether and rebrand as an amusement park.

Went with a friend and her 3 and 6 year old children. The park is well laid out, well maintained and well staffed. 3 year old loved learning to dance at the show. Have to say I enjoyed the dinosaur park more than the animals as I am always uncomfortable seeing animals in captivity, although appreciate the conservation and rescue links the park has. Regardless of whether they meet minimum welfare standards, I felt the aviaries in particular were tiny for the owls and birds of prey which would normally be able to fly miles in the wild. Some of the animals were pacing (stress/boredom?) and I also wondered how stressed some of the ‘prey’ animals felt being housed so close to the predators. One of the reindeer was clearly very bothered by flies today- pacing and running away from them. Altogether, a great experience for the kids, who went home very happy and worn out. I never feel comfortable in zoos but that is a personal thing. But I do appreciate how much effort this park puts into education regarding it’s animals.

Two families visited which included five children from age 6 to 15.

We arrived approx 10am. It was easy to park and access to the park was quick and easy. We were given our guide which made the park look huge but in reality wasn't as big as we thought.

We started with the Dinosaur experience which was great and something different.

Throughout the day we stopped at each of the kids play parks which they enjoyed. There's a water lagoon, which is basically a round shallow pool with a slide. Could of done with a play park side by side.

Animal encounters were nice and you could get good close up encounters. I believe this is because the enclosures were smaller than major zoos.

We are at the Samba restaurant and thought food was decent quality and reasonable value for this type of place.

Two negatives are you have to pay £2 per person for the train ride and £2 per person for the golf. When buying an attraction ticket I feel these should be included in the cost of ticket.

Overall we had a great day out, and we are glad we experienced what PWP had to offer. Would we be rushing back again? I'm not too sure

I really enjoyed the day out with my daughter she really enjoyed it .Lots to do dinosaur park, train ride, sand pit, small swimming pool lots of animals and lots of places to eat and drink shop was expensive though, but you expect that. They even have indoor soft play and slides outside swings, will wear the little ones out, it was quite expensive to get in but well worth it. Did think it was a rip off though having to pay for the train ride.

Dinosaurs were good for my little boy and he enjoyed them. The eating facilities are poor and need updating! We queued for ages and expensive for what is was! Animals were mostly inactive. Far too many play things and rides etc. This distracts from the animals and dinosaurs. Unfortunately we won’t be rushing back

Visit with 2 young children. 3 & 6 and 3 adults. Price was quite high even booking online but we bit the bullet and Went. Dinosaur part of the park is excellent with the moving parts and the way it’s set out amongst the trees. £2 each for the train ride is over prized for what u really don’t get to see. The zoo part is ok at best. Things need to have a little tidy up they seem tired. Few more signs post needed. Good crazy golf course but again an extra charge. Food was ok considering it was all prepared as it was on tray b4 we even finished ordering.

Expensive day out including entry and extras. Just be warned.

Our first visit to this Park and we were very impressed with the Dinosaur bit, however, not that impressed that, after paying all that money to get in, there was then a £2 per person charge for the Dinosaur train ride and the same for the crazy golf!! Surely after paying all that entrance money there shouldn’t be any hidden extras???
The zoo part of it was quite sad really, the big cats all looked very thin and most of the animals were in very small, depressing enclosures, this upset myself and my 6 year old daughter, as we are big animal lovers.
A little less effort in making people spend more money and a little more effort keeping the animals fed and happy please????

My husband and I took our two and a half year old granddaughter, we knew it would be busy as it's bang in the middle of the school holidays ( so the lady from Milton Keynes would wasn't impressed with "the screaming brats" as she described visiting children should have bore this in mind also children do become crazily excited when they see their favourite animals ) however although busy we didn't feel crowded and were able to walk around comfortably.
It was good to see how green the place was so much for children to see and do I felt a bit guilty as some enclosures looked a bit on the small side however it did mean we could see animals close up and they all looked happy, well fed and well looked after.
The dinasaur area was wonderful our granddaughter loved it, we enjoyed it too!
We found the food reasonably priced and also the couple of toys we bought our granddaughter were also very reasonably priced, we didn't feel as though we were being taken advantage of price wise at all.
I recommend purchasing the tickets on line beforehand to keep the costs down a little, however the visit is well worth the price.
The carparks are just a short walk from the entrance.
We would certainly visit again.

Never been but lived close by footprints years, decided to take my autistic son as he loves animals etc. Lucky I have Hertfordshire HAND card so only had to pay for him, I was free. The new dinosaur area is great, just watch out for spiting dinosaurs!, everything else is good, ok I agree the big cats were either a sleep of pacing, but due to work couldn’t get near the monkeys. Crazy golf is extra, but we did it twice, the splash pool is good but no changing facilities neraby, so old towel trick for kids, the train I would say should be free or £1 not 2 quid each. Also WiFi but hit and miss.

We have visited several times as we live nearby. Great and easy parking. Ticket Queue not too long. Dinosaurs were fab, but not much attention to the surrounding shrubs which were mainly weeds. As this attraction opened Easter time expected it to look a bit better.
Keepers are really happy to talk to you about the animals they care for and today like every other time offer facinating extra information. Don't be shy to ask.Their knowledge inspired my dtr's interest in animals and conservation.
We must say that we both thought the cheetah looked very thin and we overheard others say the same.
Very disapointed in treetops retreat today as there were several out of date sandwiches on the shelf, one of which I bought and had to return. The staff apologised but still didnt clear the shelves of outdated stock that I pointed out. They seemed very disinterested and more interested in chatting. My daughter asked a question about the tigers and again they were not interested.
In the main cafe a member of staff was quite rude when I asked for a top up of milk in the coffee as it was too strong.
However animals were great. One day we may see the sloth out of his box! Felt a but concerned as he or she probably never goes outside and we saw one at Colchester zoo recently who seemed to love it!
Play area is great for kids. Easily do-able in a day and its all flat so you wont wear yourself out.

We visited for the 1st time after lots of recommendations and thought it was fab!.
We love big cats and Paradise Park has them all. The white lions are so beautiful.
It's great to be able to get up so close to the animals, the only downside being that the enclosures are rather small, which made us feel rather guilty.
The park is clean and tidy and the animals look well cared for.
There is lots of interesting looking play equipment for younger children to play on.We were visiting with older children who were too big to make use of it, although they did enjoy the big slides later on in the day, after the little ones had gone home!.
We are big fans of crazy golf and were really impressed by the excellent course. You do pay extra for this, £2 per person, but it's well worth it for 18 holes. It kept our teenagers busy for a while.
If your kids love dinosaurs they will love the new animatronic dinosaur walk through.
I can't comment on the food as we took a picnic. There were plenty of places to sit and eat it.
Paradise Park is a lovely day out, especially for younger children.

If your looking to take your kids to a zoo and want the all in one experience with a splash park, dinosaur park and a few rides then look no further. From start to end this was a great experience for the kids, especially as they love dinosaurs. Very clean and reasonably priced, a tip would be to buy tickets online before turning up, you will save around 10%. Good range of animals ranging from lions, tigers, zebras and camels. The splash park was small bit great as it was a very hot day, so gave the kids an opportunity to cool down, only down side to this was their were no changing rooms for the kids. Apart from that great experience and a great family fun day out with lots to do and explore.

Pleasantly surprised with many aspects - parking, getting around, seating for picnic lunches, splash pool area, dinosaurs, animal feeing, crazy golf - all were good/great. Entrance was a bit of a queue, we bought online in advance but no apparent gain on speed of entry vs. pay at gate visitors. Train ride wasn't great - approx 5 mins through dinosaur area for £2 a head. Otherwise well laid out and signage was good, not too crowded and plenty of places to sit down and rest/eat.

I previously visited Paradise zoo with my partner and we absolutely loved it.
So yesterday I re visited with my son who is 8 weeks, my niece 2 years, her friend 1.5 years and my friends son who is 6 years.
We roughly spent around 4/5 hours and I can honestly say all of the kids loved it!
It’s well worth the £21 you pay as there is so much to do.
Even though it was the school holidays and sunny it wasn’t over crowded or majorly busy as the park is so big it’s very relaxed.
Face painting is £5 and is one of the best I have seen.
Lots of activities including parks, indoor play, swimming pool/splash park, people on a stage making balloons etc.
So many animals to see, including lions, cheetahs, meerkats, penguins etc etc. All can be clearly seen with high and low viewing.
Many places to eat and toilets located well.
Would high recommend and will be returning.

probably one of the best dinosaur attractions i have seen , and the rest of the park is great.
being able to get so close to the animals and still feel safe, plenty of staff and the park is clean.
good splash zone for the kids when hot plenty of places to get food or drink.
well worth a visit.

We have just got back from the park we took our 5 year old grandson and he really enjoyed it. He liked the world of Dinosaurs seeing the big cats and playing in the adventure playground. The parking was easy just a short walk away from the park. I think we will definitely go again.

Our first visit was my wife, daughter and grandaughter (4 people) and I was very impressed with everything. There was something for the whole family. It was very clean, the staff were extreemely helpful and polite, the food very good, the childrens play area superb and the whole experience such great value. Lily, my 5 year old granddaughter, thoroughly enjoyed it and slept the whole way home!. We shall go again and this time I want a face to face with the Red Panda's. I think you need to book an 'Animal Experience' in advance. Many thanks to everyone we met.

We got as birthday present a breakfast with the tigers – it starts at 8:30 with a 90 minutes tour through the big cats' part of the zoo, guided by the very knowledgeable Aaron, who clearly laid out the changes that have taken place with zoos during the last decades (from showing animals to preserving them) and the problems around it. Very informative. The breakfast itself was very basic (bread and cheese and cold cuts - nothing special; coffee machine broken so only nescafe with hot water) but the atmosphere in our group was very good and everybody enjoyed it anyway.

Brilliant place, lots to do - we spent over 7 hours at the park with my grandsons aged 7 & 10. Not once did I hear ‘I am bored’

Safari cafe, very good meal at great value for £7 and that included a bottle of drink in an air conditioned building - a much needed relaxation area out of the heat!

A few negatives but only for management to consider as improvements- 3 tills open when we arrived 1x for ‘ walk ins’ 2x paid in advance - slightly annoying to be greeted by this when we were paying full price!
Toilets by the pool area very very dirty,sanitary box over flowing and I am a shame to say some women had left them on the floor, which was very wet - I don’t need to say more. No, I did not tell staff at the time - I shouldn’t have too! I did try to find someone but no one around that wasn’t dealing with people. Are they checked every hour?
Dinosaur train was very over priced for what it was - 5mins if that? For the same price we played 18 holes at the adventure golf - which I would not pay more for- as it cost us £100 to get into the park

It looks like there are plenty of improvements on the way ie bat house- so we will be back to enjoy them next year

Decided on a meeting point and spent 2 days in Herts, day one at paradise wildlife park. It was a gorgeous hot day we brought a picnic and had a lovely day however think it's definately overpriced.

I paid £55.00 online prior 1 adult and 2 children, and met family with kids. After extra things water, ice creams etc it was another £50.00 on top just for 3 ice creams and some water in the day.

You had to pay £2 for the train ride which i think should be free and £1 for the animal feed, let's just say you'll be spending a fortune in one day visiting!

The splash water area is too small, this was overcrowded and dirty, it needed to be double the area, a water fountain would have been nice as well. The kids enjoyed this but it was too crowed and we only stayed 40 mins.

Would I come again? Only if I was in the area and had nowhere else to go, it keeps kids occupied.

Have been twice know to this park and now with them adding the new attractions it’s even better. There new dinosaur world is amazing best iv seen and the 6 year old we went with told us all about them. He was in his element and soo excited. The parks animals look well kept and most have nice areas to live in. It’s aim is conservation and is working with The big Cat sanctuary and there doing amazing work in raising awareness for the animals. Would recommend a visit to this park. It’s goid for all ages especially the younger ones with lots for them to do there.

Fabulous day out with daughter and the grandchildren (aged 6 and 4). Something for everyone from animated dinosaurs to animals, play area and face painting (this cost extra though). There was a choice of places to eat. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. Would thoroughly recommend this wildlife park.

Place was awesome with great staff and fabulous facilities. We got up close and personal with the red pandas and the lady who took us in the enclosure was fab. Super informative and we loved it.
The whole park is great for families and everyone really.

Lots to do here with toddlers upwards. Lots of interactive stuff with the animals and a great dinosaur world. The Food quality and wait put a really big dent in it but.... don’t bother having veggie burger very dry.
Bit pricy. But great day out with the little one
