Great little park

Good facilities and lots of different animals to see but potentially quite an expensive day out. Look out for discounts, vouchers and deals as a family of four at full price would be something like £60. Also a small fortune can be spent on food and kids rides once you're inside. Really good day out though.

My wife is a huge animal lover and has a soft spot for big cats. Whilst never going to be a fan of seeing animals caged, we are accepting the role of zoo's for education, conservation and breeding programmes.

This was a marvellous opportunity to get up close with tigers alongside an experienced member of the team (Lynn - thanks so much) who provided a wealth of information and background on the animals and their welfare. Somewhat nerve racking being so close to those huge jaws and paws but we still have all our fingers and now we have some wonderful memories.

Thank you to Lynn and all the team at Paradise Wildlife Park.

I do not approve of zoos etc, why keep animals in captivity for us to gawk at? However, a lot of the animals here are conservation, and the keepers genuinely care, so it's hard not to like it.

I came here recently with my fiancé for a big cat feeding we'd been bought as a present, and had such an amazing day.
The park is spread out well, but not so far that your feet hurt by the end of it. There's so much to see and do, and a great selection of animals to see and learn about.
Our feeding of the white lions was amazing, and the keeper 'Cassie' who we accompanied was so friendly and knowledgable it's clear that the staff here really love the animals.
The park is open all year, and we were told the animals are actually more active now than when they're basking in the summer sun, so I'd highly recommend this as an autumn/winter visit. Wrap up warm and take advantage of the park being quieter to have a truly wonderful day out with the animals!

We had the privilege of a magic tour which was beyond anything we could imagine. whole day was superb from being greeted to getting into our car exhausted but happy at the end of the day.
Our family of 3 fed meerkats, a camel called Bash, we got up close to my daughter's fav animals an ocelot called Billy and watched as he ate his chicken filled pumpkin!... a we had time with a keeper for over an hour and chatted with the big cat keepers too as my daughter loves all the big cats! so she had many questions for them. which they dutifully answered with such passion and enthusiasm that we really felt their love of the animals. We got up close and stroked (with supervision) a large snake and bearded dragons .. we must thank Miles for his knowledge and his patience and fascinating facts. we all enjoyed his time with us. We must also thank all the staff in the park for their compassion and care and total understanding for our daughter and her difficulties. We went through to see the woods which was really sweet too and I found it very relaxing. we were able to push our wheelchair around the whole park without any issues (even the wooded bits) .
We had lunch at Sam's Diner, which although wasn't my type of food it was tasty, well cooked and quite fine ... if not too many chips!.. (daddy and our daughter quite liked this though). Reasonably priced for the food we had too considering we were in a zoo. Everywhere we had refreshments they made great tea and coffee... even the little stalls which for me is an added bonus!. and great hot chocolate too according to my daughter.
The animals were all happily doing their own things and we saw lots of pumpkin fun as the animals were in playful form and it was halloween. We had the most superb day and it's one we won't forget.

A well presented and enjoyable wildlife park. However, they charge for parking on to of your entry fee, you also have to cough up more money to do many of the activities inside. We feltt this was misleading.

went with my husband for a day out, thought the zoo lay out was well planned and easy for families to get around in. The zoo felt a little compact as it was all very close together but was not as issue as we got to visit the monkeys and the lions multiple times.

We had the chance of getting up close to the lion in a small feeding area and staff told us about his history and relationships with the the other lions, was really nice hearing this.

The cafe has great views of the lions den so worth a visit for a coffee.

parking was fine

we bought our tickets online to get the advance rate discount.

This park appeared to be linked to the WHF facility in Kent which I have visited more than once and is more geared to animal conservation. This park is just a muddle of amusements and noise geared to children (to be fair it was half term) but the animals just seemed to be secondary to the rest of the very noisy pursuits in the grounds. The animals were in what appeared to be very small enclosures and looked very stressed pacing the perimeters. I am sorry but I don't think this is right in this day and age. Please rethink this form of "side show" and consider the animals wellbeing.

Had a trip with the family and I went in my powerchair found that the park has really made the effort for disabled people even the toilet you can turn your chair around . Kids and wife enjoyed as well

Found this wildlife park had most things to keep children from 2-11 happy. Not so many animals as Whipsnade but more activities. Face painting, sand play, outdoor activities etc. My g/children thoroughly enjoyed it as some wanted to just see animals and others wanted to do both activities .
You can take your own picnic or eat in one of the cafes. Be prepared to queue in the one that does hot food.
Lovely day out but take extra cash with as some of the activities i.e. Face painting £5 water shooting £1 a go can add up.

Big enough to have a good old stroll and small enough for the kids not to lose interest.
The zoo is not too busy and so you really can get a good look at the animals and birds and really appreciate the magnificence of the animal kingdom. There are rides and food stalls but the relaxed and calm atmosphere was defiantly refreshing, especially in comparison to larger more brash zoos.

I bought my partner a 'Breakfast with the Tigers' experience here and we both had a great day out. We arrived quite early for our tour and at that time it wasn't busy and we could see some of the animals being fed. Our group were collected and taken to a room overlooking the Tiger enclosure for our breakfast which was different, and we got brilliant views of the Tigers and chance to take photos. Then we were given a tour of the Tigers, Leopards, Lions and Cheetahs before being left to enjoy the rest of the zoo by ourselves for the rest of the day (this was included in the price I paid for the experience). Everything is close together, well-kept and it was easy to see all the animals. There was plenty going on including a talk on Wolves where we saw a zoo keeper go in with these amazing animals. My favourite bit was watching the Tapirs swimming in their pool and running around - they were the most active animals and great fun to watch! The small animal bit is also fun to visit with Guinea Pigs, rabbits etc. Definitely a good day out that I'd recommend.

Yesterday I had a truly amazing day with Tony during my Big Cat Experience. I was blown away by his knowledge, passion for the job and love for the animals he cares for. I was able to get an insight into his daily routine and I was so impressed with his attitude, energy and enthusiasm for his cats, the park and his job. I loved meeting the cats and had have never experienced being so close to so many beautiful animals. I highly recommend this experience to anyone and can't talk highly enough of Tony and Paradise Wildlife Park! Hopefully Rocky got a good nights sleep in the bed I made for him!

The White lion, separated from the crowds by one wooden fence and a metal mesh fence, came toward us turned and then 'sprayed' my brother 😂. He was marking his territory and my brother just happened to be part of this process.

This is just another example of how this place is not a zoo, but it is also not a safari park. The kids loved the mix of playground activities, animals and face painting whilst the adults enjoyed the fact that it didn't cost an arm and a leg to visit, the park is very accessible by car and it wasn't heaving with baying crowds ruining the entire experience.

I found that this place is perfect for younger children to spend a tremendous day with their family and get to see all of the animals we all adore.

Aside from the two snow leopards (they were pacing and i understand that in the wild their hunting territory is vast) the rest of the animals seemed fairly resigned to their way of life.

You will not regret visiting. Trust me.

I loved it but my Girlfriend said she was disappointed because the Sloth was asleep (that's all they do) great for the whole family.

We had a fantastic day shadowing the big cat keeper at the Paradise Wildlife Park. Finding out information and personal traits of all the different tigers and lions was amazing. What a special treat to feed the animals as well. The memories will stay with us for a lifetime.
Special thanks to Shirley who made the day that much more enjoyable.
Well worth it.

My family love this place. It's local and you can use your Tesco vouchers here. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The parks are amazing and great for tiring the kids out after the animals.
The animals are really good, you have a farm section where you can feed the pigs, sheep and goats. The tigers and lions are always my daughters favourite.

Great wildlife park. Informative and such an experience to see animals in captivity up close. It's set out in a way that there feels like something new to see round every corner. Recommend the Tiger Top Cafe as it's a great spot to grab a bite and see tigers at the same time. In general one of the best wildlife parks have ever been too. Was lucky enough to experience handfeeding red pandas which is now a highlight of my life!
