Found this wildlife park had most things to keep children from 2-11 happy. Not so many animals as Whipsnade but more activities. Face painting, sand play, outdoor activities etc. My g/children thoroughly enjoyed it as some wanted to just see animals and others wanted to do both activities .
You can take your own picnic or eat in one of the cafes. Be prepared to queue in the one that does hot food.
Lovely day out but take extra cash with as some of the activities i.e. Face painting £5 water shooting £1 a go can add up.

Big enough to have a good old stroll and small enough for the kids not to lose interest.
The zoo is not too busy and so you really can get a good look at the animals and birds and really appreciate the magnificence of the animal kingdom. There are rides and food stalls but the relaxed and calm atmosphere was defiantly refreshing, especially in comparison to larger more brash zoos.

I bought my partner a 'Breakfast with the Tigers' experience here and we both had a great day out. We arrived quite early for our tour and at that time it wasn't busy and we could see some of the animals being fed. Our group were collected and taken to a room overlooking the Tiger enclosure for our breakfast which was different, and we got brilliant views of the Tigers and chance to take photos. Then we were given a tour of the Tigers, Leopards, Lions and Cheetahs before being left to enjoy the rest of the zoo by ourselves for the rest of the day (this was included in the price I paid for the experience). Everything is close together, well-kept and it was easy to see all the animals. There was plenty going on including a talk on Wolves where we saw a zoo keeper go in with these amazing animals. My favourite bit was watching the Tapirs swimming in their pool and running around - they were the most active animals and great fun to watch! The small animal bit is also fun to visit with Guinea Pigs, rabbits etc. Definitely a good day out that I'd recommend.

Yesterday I had a truly amazing day with Tony during my Big Cat Experience. I was blown away by his knowledge, passion for the job and love for the animals he cares for. I was able to get an insight into his daily routine and I was so impressed with his attitude, energy and enthusiasm for his cats, the park and his job. I loved meeting the cats and had have never experienced being so close to so many beautiful animals. I highly recommend this experience to anyone and can't talk highly enough of Tony and Paradise Wildlife Park! Hopefully Rocky got a good nights sleep in the bed I made for him!

The White lion, separated from the crowds by one wooden fence and a metal mesh fence, came toward us turned and then 'sprayed' my brother 😂. He was marking his territory and my brother just happened to be part of this process.
This is just another example of how this place is not a zoo, but it is also not a safari park. The kids loved the mix of playground activities, animals and face painting whilst the adults enjoyed the fact that it didn't cost an arm and a leg to visit, the park is very accessible by car and it wasn't heaving with baying crowds ruining the entire experience.
I found that this place is perfect for younger children to spend a tremendous day with their family and get to see all of the animals we all adore.
Aside from the two snow leopards (they were pacing and i understand that in the wild their hunting territory is vast) the rest of the animals seemed fairly resigned to their way of life.
You will not regret visiting. Trust me.

We had a fantastic day shadowing the big cat keeper at the Paradise Wildlife Park. Finding out information and personal traits of all the different tigers and lions was amazing. What a special treat to feed the animals as well. The memories will stay with us for a lifetime.

My family love this place. It's local and you can use your Tesco vouchers here. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The parks are amazing and great for tiring the kids out after the animals.
The animals are really good, you have a farm section where you can feed the pigs, sheep and goats. The tigers and lions are always my daughters favourite.

Great wildlife park. Informative and such an experience to see animals in captivity up close. It's set out in a way that there feels like something new to see round every corner. Recommend the Tiger Top Cafe as it's a great spot to grab a bite and see tigers at the same time. In general one of the best wildlife parks have ever been too. Was lucky enough to experience handfeeding red pandas which is now a highlight of my life!

A lovely day out with our grandchildren, plenty of animals to see (without smells), the keepers are very informative. There are also playing areas, plenty of food stalls an a café with an area for children to play in should the weather turn.

This is a very small Zoo, but it really values quality over quantity. We did the big cats breakfast experience, which was amazing.
We were greeted and waited in a warm room, with interesting videos about the history of the park and some of its animals, with complementary tea, coffee and biscuits. Our guide was very knowledgable, easy to talk to and he apadted the tour to fit around what the animals were doing - I have never seen so many large cats up close.
The food was also good, a mix of continental, some pastries and toast and ceral, but not a full english and not overwhelming choice. However, this was entirely made up for by the wonderful tree top cafe, located next to/half in the tiger enclosure which gave some great breakfast time watching. The tour lasted around 1.5 hrs, and we were free to stay at breakfast as long as we liked, not hurried along. After this we could explore the zoo. To be honest, we felt like we had seen most of it. Paradise park specialises in the big cats, and there is a reptile house and wolves and a few smaller animals, but we were done within an hour. However, there was an entire half of the park dedicated to play areas and things for children to do everywhere - I would certainly come back with young children (aged 3-12).

No words can describe how fantastic this is, we had a private tour of the zoo before opening with a very friendly and knowledgeable man, he gave us all facts on the different big cats. Then we went to the tree top retreat where we were looking right over the Tiger enclosure and ate a lovely range of light breakfast snacks. Perfect for any big cat lover. Fabulous zoo fantastic staff all friendly and just get a real feeling of love for the animals from them, will definitely be going again.

Great collection of animals and species. As a member of BIAZA they work for conservation and look after their animals very well. Please disregard any reviews that say "the enclosures are small" or "the animals look sad". I have visited a many number of times and I've never seen any negative behaviours displayed by the animals. The cats patrol their enclosures by pacing and they are always alert and engaged. This is not to be confused with stereotypic behaviour. Plenty of different talks on different animals. Maybe some of the non-animal related activities, focused at kids, could do with updating.

It's a lovely place to visit, lots of things to do for small children. There is a play area, a soft play, a splash pool, a train. There is a great variety of animals and you can get very close to them. Food and ice cream a little expensive.

I have been lucky enough to do Tea with Tigers, feeding the meerkats and feeding the lemurs and all have been an absolute joy. The keepers are very friendly, and wonderful to have a chat with them. They all seem to enjoy doing their job and enthusiastic. The only criticism is that although you have paid a large fee they still charge for car parking
Would recommend for families with small children as a lot thought has been taken to make sure they are able to see in the enclosures. Always working on improving for the animals and visitors. Is easy to walk around the grounds.
They do all they can for conservation both here and abroad and projects they are involved in are on noticeboards around the enclosures so you are a little more informed/educated after your visit.

My friend and I as part of a birthday gift, did the shadow a zookeeper experience. I cannot express to you what a fantastic experience this was.
We were taken around by at least six different very professional and knowledgeable zoo keepers.
Each zookeeper escorted us through their area of expertise.The day consisted of mucking out the alpaca's, being part of the birds of prey show. Feeding the ring tailed lemur and the red panda. and tapir tickling/ stroking, and much much more
My friend and I had the most wonderful day. I would highly recommend this as a perfect day to remember.

Did the 'breakfast with the big cats'. Arrived at 08:00 an hour before the park usually opens and went to register. Registration was easy but the person booking you in was sour faced and surly. Not the best of welcomes. Fortunately Miles our guide made up for that with his passion and knowledge about big cats. After coffee and biscuits and a film that showcased the animals and staff of the park Miles took us out for the tour of the big cats. Brilliant and informative and a pleasure to be able to see the cats before they became harassed with the normal volume of visitors. After the tour we sat in the breakfast area overlooking the Tiger enclosure where we had a buffet breakfast. The Tigers decided to pose in all their glory - amazing. Once breakfast was finished we were then free to wander throughout the park and take in the sights of all the inmates. The car park is charged at £3:00. Overall an excellent day (weather was good so that helped). Well worth visiting the park and if you can book the experience I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

The best thing about Paradise Park is the close proximity of everything and the variety of things for kids. If you have a tot or two then there are plenty of food stops, a lovely adventure playground and some great animals to see.. If you have ever been to Whipsnade you will note there is a about a 4 mile walk around it. If you have people in your party who may find walking that distance a chore, well fear not. the animals at Paradise park are all closely spaced within walking distance, but all have nice big enclosures and staff who care for them. We have never been so up close to Zebras, Lions and Tigers, literally within an arms length. A really nice feel-good place to go. Don't expect to see Elephants,Giraffes,Hippos or Rhinos,but they have most other creatures. Really good.

We attended the Arsenal Fun Day @ Paradise Park on 24 Aug. The weather was perfect and we had a brilliant day at the park.
Lots of animals to see. The park was very busy due to the fun day and we had won a family ticket to attend, so I am unable to comment on the value for money!
There are lots of charging extras in the way of machines for children, so I can see how you would need spending money on top of entry fee.
Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced with well sized portions.
The splash pool was full and due to the weather we did not use the indoor play area.
I would recommend this zoo as a family summer day trip.

This was a nice place definitely aimed more for little children. And obviously we went of season so there wasn't there best atmosphere but was still a good day. Will probably return in their summer with young family.

As a birthday present for my partner, we had the breakfast with the big cats. We got there at 8.30 for a guided tour of the big cats including white lions, white tigers, snow leopards, jaguars and tigers. The talk was fascinating and the guide - Aaron - really new his stuff. This was followed by a delicious continental breakfast. We then wandered round the park at our own pace. We were impressed by how close you felt to the animals, the beauty of the majestic beasts and the high quality of the enclosures. It was a truly unforgettable experience
