A great day out for all the family, young and old. If you are arriving by train at Broxbourne ask at the station and they will send a mini bus to pick you up - for only a £1 each!

Been here a few times, but the most recent was for my daughters 4th Birthday in August.
The kids love it, we only made half a day of it, so it wasn't really value for money, but if you make a day of it, with a picnic etc then I can imagine it would be!

I was lucky enough to be given an experience voucher for a special 'Brunch with the Tigers' event at Paradise so me and my boyfriend made a day of it. We arrived early and got in straight away. The event included a very comprehensive tour of the big cat enclosures by a very knowledgeable guide, then a buffet meal in the cafe above the tiger enclosure.
Once this was over, we were free to spend the rest of the day wandering to our hearts content. The animals all seemed happy and content, and it was wonderful to be able to see them so closely. There was informative talks throughout the day that we managed to catch, including the feeding of the wolves.
We did have a ride on the woodland train - not really aimed at 30 year olds - but I imagine small children would enjoy it and it was good value at £1! I enjoyed feeding the farm animals and seeing some tiny little goats.
The main highlight for me was definitely the lions and tigers who were magnificent, and snow leopards.
We were sorry not to see the very elusive red panda though.
We managed to remain entertained until the late afternoon, when some of the younger visitors around us were getting fractious so we made our getaway on the shuttle bus to the station (again, a reasonable £1 each way).
I would recommend Paradise to anyone as there is something for everyone. I was very impressed by the playground area with adapted equipment for children with disabilities as well.

Lovely day out. A tad small for a zoo but had alot of big cats. The car park had plenty of free spaces and wasnt to far away from the actual zoo. They have alot to see and several animals on show. The Meerkats and owls ohh and the monkeys were my favourites. But really, as stated, the big cats are the main reason for us coming and boy are they big ! The tigers and lions just took our breath away.

Nice setting in the middle of Broxbourne Woods, good collection of animals in pleasant surroundings and not too large that you get tired or bored.
Cafe was noisy but food was OK.

Me and my family loved our day out here on Saturday with lots of animals, friendly staff and plenty of fun and games. Food a bit pricy and car park a long walk from the park for little ones but other than that we had a good time and I recommend it to anyone who loves animals.

Paradise Wildlife Park is a superb place to see a large array of wild animals, in a superb setting.
So much to do and see, with lots of refreshment areas too.

Went to Paradise Wildlife Park for a birthday treat to hand feed the Red Pandas. Lovely experience, such cute creatures, they don't bite and suck pices of fruit out of your fingers.
Ami, the keeper told us lots about the Pandas. Two of the Pandas came out of their trees to be fed, but the other one who was much younger watched from his perch high up in the trees. Afterwards, we visited the rest of the zoo and enjoyed every minute of it. You could easily spend a whole day here and there are watering holes and eating places for humans too! There were displays throughout the day, including flying birds (Owls, Parrots and birds of prey), there was a attraction where the children could get up close to animals such as snakes, and a tiny hedgehog that captivated the children. The compounds where the big cats lived were very spacious and all of the animals looked in good condition. A nice day out for all ages.

We used tesco vouchers to pay for entry, but I would probably have been happy to pay the full entry price mainly because we spent a whole day here, the weather was dry and the kids were happy and entertained.
We saw a huge range of animals and heard some of the talks realting to them, the staff seemed well informed and were happy to answer questions. Lots of play activies available though quite a lot of them were for an extra cost which makes it hard when you have to keep saying no to your child!
We were able to purchase food and hand feed some of the animals.
We ate in the cafe and the food was reasonably priced, huge portions, staff were polite and the place was clean.
Only issue we had was when we went to leave - the car parking spaces are so small and rows so close together it made it difficult (not impossible) to get out.
A fun, relaxing day out.

We did this with a half price voucher, which represented very good value, I think the full price is pitched a bit high. The only reason I have not put in 5 stars is that a lot of the entertainment at the park is aimed at youngsters and we don't have any.
Anyway the visit started in the Discovery centre where we got a warm welcome from Margaret, given hot chocolate and biscuits and our VIP bracelets. We went into the park and enjoyed some well advertised feeding times and shows like the Birds of Paradise (don't be fooled though, this is birds of Paradise Park). People have said the park is small and can be gone round quickly, I would say there is plenty to entertain you if you are interested in animal behaviour. Also I have read a complaint about the size of enclosures, but these are on the whole animals on retirement from circuses etc. they were not captured roaming free on the Serengeti. They seem content and enjoy human interaction with their keepers to help stimulate them (not from inside the enclosures nowadays though).
At 3pm we returned to more hot chocolate, I mean Margaret, to be shown our apartment. This was Tiger and the smallest of the 3, the entrance hall makes it smaller than Leopard. They are both much smaller than the double apartment for up to 8 photographed online. However with 2 or 3 TV's each and a kettle they are well appointed. We'd been warned (rather belatedly) about a wedding on site until midnight, but in the event this didn't disturb us. We went down to the Beehive to eat and were given a drink each on the house for being guests at Paradise.
The next morning, having listened to the roar of lions and the chattering of gibbons from our bed, we began to feel like VIPs; with our breakfast with one other couple overlooking the tigers, accompanied by the informative Barry, then the tour with Amy who talked about the tigers and then took us into the studio where guests can handle reptiles and a cute Madagascan non-hedgehog, all before the zoo opened.
We didn't stay terribly long after that because it was pouring, and that is the only downside of staying at the zoo, you book in advance and can't choose the weather.

took our 16 month old here for the day and had a nice visit.

to be honest he was a bit yong for it in some ways as he wanted to be able to runa bout but it was too busy, and he couldnt see all of the animals as to see the big cats etc you really need to be up in the lookout walkway and with the buggy we didnt bother doing that.

we had lunch there (burgers) which were nice and not too expensive and also stopped in the soft pay for coffee although he didnt get to play there much as a lot of older kids were running riot and there's no seperate bit for littl'uns which was abit annoying.

He loved the farm animals and some of the animals he saw more close up (zebras, reindeer etc) and enjoyed saying hello to the birds.

there is a big playground there too.

all in all a good day out but it is quite expensive when youve got a little one so are only there a couple of hours

Me and my partner booked a tiger breakfast. We were taken round the park by the owners Grandson Aaron, who has clearly passionate and knowledgable about the wildlife park. We got to see lots of Big Cats quite close up including White Lions and tigers. We got to observe Aaron feeding Rocky the tiger very close up. There were other animals too such as the wolf cubs and Meerkats which were fun to watch. Great place to get some really good photos. The park is quite small but has lots of extra bits for kiddies so they wil enjoy it. The park offer some interesting animal experiences. We had tiger breakfast which was the guided tour and breakfast which was fine. I would have chosen a different experience if I had been before, like actually going in with lemurs/tapirs etc. So have a look around. Nice family run business and would like to visit again

A rather belated review of Paradise Wildlife Park visit and stay over in the Zebra apartment. Due to my mum's ill health we were unable to get away abroad. As a family of two adults and one teenager we wanted something that was unusual, memorable and something we would all enjoy and we weren't disappointed.

From the moment we made an enquiry about a possible booking PWP staff (and particularly Louise Holt) went out of their way (at reasonably short notice) to make it a memorable and enjoyable time for all of us. We booked the apartment as well as some experiences during our two day, one night stay.

On the day of our arrival we were treat like VIPs. The first day we went in with the ring tailed Lemurs. Having had a similar visit last year it hadn't lost any of the magic of getting up close and personal with them, including a very small baby who was just a few weeks old! Daisy, the keeper was friendly and informative although a bit concerned that Penelope(one of the lemurs not a member of staff) had given hubby a little nip! She's going through a "phase" apparently.

Later that day we were taken to the apartment which was lovely and had just about everything you might need. Barry was great on giving the info on the area and best places to eat. Unfortunately we were that busy taking in the noises in the evening that we were too late to eat in the pubs so ended up going to Flame, a tiny kebab house in the next village where the food was beautifully cooked (not the usual greasy doner stuff).

The following day we had breakfast with the tigers - being that close up was stunning and surreal at the same time. Considerable effort had gone into providing just about every breakfast item you can imagine on a continental basis and there was far too much for just the three of us!

After breakfast we had a private mini tour with Aaron where we took ducks for a walk, held a python, tarantula and a variety of other animals, most of which my daughter was too phobic to hold despite considerable attempts to get her to try! Hearing the story behind the zoo was a revelation and to those who are sceptical of zoos a considerable investment gets put back into breeding programmes meaning that a number of species are protected from extinction.

Post lunch we had the meerkat experience where we got to sit in the enclosure, feed the meerkats which mainly meant that they were fighting that they were trying to oust each other out of the bowls and generally using us as vantage points as they do!

All the staff we came across were warm, friendly and more than happy to answer our barrage of questions. The one "issue", if you can call it that would probably be a lack of choice in food outlets but saying that we all munched our way through the selections we made!

I'd seriously recommend it for a brief but surreal, amazing and memorable time.

We took a short train ride from London to Broxbourne. We called the park for the shuttle and it was there is less than 10 minutes to transport us to the park.

One of my daughters had picked the park as the place she wanted to visited on our United Kingdom trip. She was thrilled to see the snow leopards and took many photos.

My other daughter liked the white tigers and white lions while my mom enjoyed the meerkats. My favorite animal was the red panda.

The park was very clean and the animals seemed in good health. All the employees we encountered were very friendly.

Have taken both of our kids & their friends here since they were born.Place continues to improve & innovate in what is a reasonably tight area yet you never feel on top of everyone else.

Big cats are great to see so close up & who doesn't like Meerkats !?!?

Go !

This is a lovely place. I went with friends and our young children. You want to go as early as you can and leave when they close! Get the most out of the day.

Lots of good viewing points for all the animals.

The food is a bit pricey for microwaved meals. Don't care what anyone says that pasta dish was microwaved!

The theatre show is good, the presenters are good. Although thought it very odd that someone in their early 20's was using feet and inches for how big the biggest snake is! Obviously straight out of a book but kids now wouldn't know what that meant! They really should be using metric! (I wouldn't understand but given that the show is aimed at kids and is educational they should be using metric!) If you go do tell them!

Some tips:
We started in the soft play area because it seems that it is at its quietest then.
Then that means you can pop back to the car for lunch and eat it outside without having to walk far! Then drop everything back to the car to save carrying everything!
Then wander round and finish at the pool It's quieter right at the end of the day so take towel and swimming things. Right by the entrance/exit so ideal to finish, change the kids and either have something more to eat or go home!
It is quite pricey but search the Internet, Tesco vouchers and also discounts. We got 25% off from BuyaGift and that was for height of season.
Talks are good, not too long for young kids and enough movement and things going on for the very young who won't be listening to the information!

I booked the Meerkat experience for my boyfriend as a surprise. Meeting the Meerkats was fantastic, once they had finished the food or should I say once the two fattest Meerkats got out of the food bowl they all become very inquisitive. Our guide was Conner, who is a lovely guy who made our time in the enclosure great fun as he didn't try and interfere and was happy to answer questions and photos. I would recommend if you're meeting the Meerkats to wear a fleece or something very similar as it is easier for them to climb on you. The park is having some of the enclosures upgraded so some of the animals were unseen but it is lovely and will definitely go back.

Paradise wildlife park takes tesco vouchers so helps keep the costs down for a family. The lunch is reasonably priced. The animals looked well looked after and there are always shows going on

Went to visit Paradise wildlife park with my wife and two young children, had an absolutely fantastic day. My 4 year old loved the animals and the children's play park, in fact there was so much to do there we didn't get to see and do it all. the paddling pool is great for children and the animal talks and shows are kept good fun too. overall i would recommend this as a great family day out

We are season tickets to Paradise Wildlife Park and we go often with our young family. There are LOADS of really interesting animals, the obligatory soft play area and loads of outdoor play equipment for children. There is a train (£1), tiny tractor ride (free) and free helter skelter, bouncy castle etc. It is a great size for young children to wander around but there is still loads to do for older children. All in all a great zoo.
My only criticisms would be 1. The Food. It is diabolical. Revolting, smelly junk food. Awful. Take a picnic.
2. The lack of greenery. There is a lot of grey concrete and it would be nice to have more green areas. There is a patch of lawn outside the gift shop and by the bird area (best place for picnic) but that is about it. Rather soul destroying.
3. I wish the animal information cards were better. There is a great opportunity to teach children about animals, habitat, threats, interesting facts etc but theirs is very old fashioned and a bit dull. There needs to be more information and presented in an exciting way.
4. The staff. It would be nice if the staff were more interested in the animals and gave talks. The zoo keepers seem very bored and not very personable. Again a missed opportunity.

Speedway Museum was really cool, you can actually touch the bikes spanning over 50 years.
