As part of the Hertford Arts Festival 2022, Hertford Castle will be holding a free of charge ‘Children’s Art Trail’, which will run from Saturday 9th April to Sunday 17th April.
The event is aimed at children, to enjoy with their friends and families, and intends to capture their imagination and creative flair as they explore Hertford Castle’s Grounds.
They will be able to enjoy a series of activities set up around the grounds, including a bark rubbing exercise, a scavenger hunt, an activity to activate all the senses, as well as an opportunity to find hidden creatures and claws.
This is a Hertford Town Council event in collaboration with Manic Ceramics and #HAWRocks.
As part of the trail, children will be able to enter a drawing competition, providing the chance to win a £25 gift voucher to spend at a Hertford retailer of their choice.
To take part, families can pick up the free trail booklet from the Castle pedestrian gates.
The Chairman of Hertford Town Council’s Development and Leisure Committee, Cllr Jane Sartin, said: “The Hertford Arts Festival is an event for people of all ages in the town, and I hope that the Children’s Arts Trail will inspire children to get creative and explore the grounds of the historic Hertford Castle.”
