With schools out for summer and parents/guardians looking for free activities to entertain the kids, Hertford Play Day has something on offer for all ages.
Hertford Play Day is organised by Hertford Town Council and takes place on Wednesday 4th August from 11am - 4pm in the town centre.
As part of the national Play Day initiative, the Town Council has organised an abundance of activities, most of which are free of charge, or low-cost, to participate in.
Free Activities & Shows Include:
• Mr Marvel Magic shows
• DH Dance Academy kids performances
• Photo booth activity
• Facial florals at Mudlarks
• Circus workshops
• Balloon modelling
• Ice cream tasting at Il Vino Café
• Fun activities at Leaf Café
Low-cost activities include; children’s activities at the Mill House in Marshgate Drive, an opportunity to design your t-shirt at Gingerlillie Boutique facial florals at Mudlarks Garden Café
Costa will be offering 25% off the bill if you purchase a meal deal.

Cllr Jane Sartin, Chairman of Hertford Town Council’s Development and Leisure Committee, said “The Hertford Play Day will see a host of activities for children in Hertford Town Centre. With more people spending the summer holidays at home this year, the Play Day will be a great way for children to spend the day in Hertford on Wednesday 4th August.”
